LMS technical furniture system

Foundations is a modular system of Uprights, Intermediate Uprights, Cross Ties, Segmentation Posts and Corner Posts, along with cantilevered worksurfaces and specialized components, to create an entire offering of technical furniture. The Foundations system is designed to address the technology and work applications common to data centers, technology labs and operation centers.

System Description

Uprights

Uprights are constructed of heavy-duty 12-gauge steel vertical members available in heights of 61, 72 and 84 inches, inclusive of the tubular foot and integrated tubular stabilizers. Integrated slotted standards on 1-inch centers accept hook-on components.

Left-handed and right-handed models create a self-supporting unit. Extended-footprint options accept vertically mounted cable raceways for concealing cabling and wiring. Models accommodate 27-inch and 36-inch worksurface depths in single-sided or double-sided workstation configurations. Plastic caps finish exposed areas on the tubular foot and vertical post.

Intermediate Uprights

Intermediate Uprights provide intermediate vertical support with a low-profile welded stabilizer and dual rows of slotted standards for adjacent hook-on components. Extended-footprint options accommodate vertical cable raceways. Models support 27-inch and 36-inch worksurfaces in single-sided or double-sided configurations, with plastic caps finishing exposed areas.

Cross Ties

Cross Ties are constructed of heavy-duty 16-gauge tubular steel with welded end plates. They mount horizontally between the respective uprights to create a freestanding configuration.

Cross Ties are supplied in pairs and are available in nominal widths of 24, 30, 36, 48, 60 and 72 inches. The original system specification states a load capacity of 1,500 pounds, evenly distributed, when installed between two uprights, tested in accordance with BIFMA office safety standards.

Segmentation Posts

Segmentation Posts feature two-piece, heavy-duty 12-gauge steel construction with dual slotted standards on 1-inch centers to accept hook-on components.

Intermediate Standards

Intermediate Standards mount vertically along lateral Cross Ties to customize the modularity of optional components.
