Foundations is a modular system of Uprights, Intermediate Uprights, Cross Ties, Segmentation Posts and Corner Posts, along with cantilevered worksurfaces and specialized components, to create an entire offering of technical furniture. The Foundations system is designed to address the technology and work applications common to data centers, technology labs and operation centers.

System Description

Uprights are constructed of heavy-duty 12-ga steel vertical members available 61, 72 and 84-inches high (inclusive of tubular foot and integrated tubular stabilizers) with an integrated slotted standard on 1" centers to accept hook-on componentry. Upright is selected as either a left-handed or right-handed model to create a self-supporting unit. Uprights shall be available with an extended footprint to accept optional vertically mounted cable raceways for cabling and wiring concealment. Various upright models are offered to address 27-inch and 36-inch worksurface depth requirements and can be specified as single-sided or double-sided workstation configurations. Uprights shall be finished with plastic caps to finish exposed areas on tubular foot and vertical post. Intermediate Upright serve as an intermediate vertical support with low profile welded stabilizer and dual rows of slotted standards to accept adjacent hook-on componentry. Uprights shall be available with an extended footprint to accept optional vertically mounted cable raceways for cabling and wiring concealment. Various upright models are offered to address 27-inch and 36-inch worksurface requirements and can be specified as single-sided or double-sided workstation configurations. Uprights shall be finished with plastic caps to finish exposed areas on tubular foot and vertical post. Cross Ties are constructed of heavy-duty 16-ga. tubular steel with welded end plates to horizontally mount to the open portion of respective uprights to create a freestanding configuration. Cross Ties consist of one pair of ties and are available in nominal widths of 24, 30, 36, 48, 60 and 72-inches. When installed to (2) uprights, load capacity of a freestanding unit shall be 1500#, evenly distributed, and tested in accordance with BIFMA office standards for safety. Segmentation Post is two-piece steel construction of heavy-duty 12-ga steel with dual slotted standards on one-inch centers to accept hook-on componentry. Intermediate Standards are designed to vertically mount along lateral Cross Ties to customize the modularity of optional components.
